1
And it cameH1961 to pass afterH310 theseH428 things,H1697 that the butlerH4945 of the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 and his bakerH644 had offendedH2398 their lordH113 the kingH4428 of Egypt.H4714
2
And PharaohH6547 was wrothH7107 againstH5921 twoH8147 of his officers,H5631 againstH5921 the chiefH8269 of the butlers,H4945 and againstH5921 the chiefH8269 of the bakers.H644
3
And he putH5414 them in wardH4929 in the houseH1004 of the captainH8269 of the guard,H2876 intoH413 the prison,H1004 H5470 the placeH4725 whereH834 JosephH3130 was bound.H631
4
And the captainH8269 of the guardH2876 chargedH6485 JosephH3130 with them, and he servedH8334 them: and they continuedH1961 a seasonH3117 in ward.H4929
5
And they dreamedH2492 a dreamH2472 bothH8147 of them, each manH376 his dreamH2472 in oneH259 night,H3915 each manH376 according to the interpretationH6623 of his dream,H2472 the butlerH4945 and the bakerH644 of the kingH4428 of Egypt,H4714 whichH834 were boundH631 in the prison.H1004
6
And JosephH3130 cameH935 in to them in the morning,H1242 and lookedH7200 on them, and, behold,H2009 they were sad.H2196
7
And he askedH7592 Pharaoh'sH6547 officersH5631 that were with him in the wardH4929 of his lord'sH113 house,H1004 saying,H559 WhyH4069 lookH6440 you so sadlyH7451 to day?H3117
8
And they saidH559 to him, We have dreamedH2492 a dream,H2472 and there is noH369 interpreterH6622 of it. And JosephH3130 saidH559 to them, Do not interpretationsH6623 belong to God?H430 tellH5608 me them, I prayH4994 you.
9
And the chiefH8269 butlerH4945 toldH5608 his dreamH2472 to Joseph,H3130 and saidH559 to him, In my dream,H2472 behold,H2009 a vineH1612 was beforeH6440 me;
10
And in the vineH1612 were threeH7969 branches:H8299 and it was as though it budded,H6524 and her blossomsH5322 shotH5927 forth; and the clustersH811 thereof broughtH1310 forthH1310 ripeH1310 grapes:H6025
11
And Pharaoh'sH6547 cupH3563 was in my hand:H3027 and I tookH3947 the grapes,H6025 and pressedH7818 them intoH413 Pharaoh'sH6547 cup,H3563 and I gaveH5414 the cupH3563 intoH5921 Pharaoh'sH6547 hand.H3709
12
And JosephH3130 saidH559 to him, ThisH2088 is the interpretationH6623 of it: The threeH7969 branchesH8299 are threeH7969 days:H3117
13
YetH5750 within threeH7969 daysH3117 shall PharaohH6547 liftH5375 up your head,H7218 and restoreH7725 you to your place:H3653 and you shall deliverH5414 Pharaoh'sH6547 cupH3563 into his hand,H3027 after the formerH7223 mannerH4941 whenH834 you wereH1961 his butler.H4945
14
But thinkH2142 on me whenH834 it shall be wellH3190 with you, and showH6213 kindness,H2617 I prayH4994 you, to me, and make mentionH2142 of me to Pharaoh,H6547 and bringH3318 me out of thisH2088 house:H1004
15
For indeed I was stolenH1589 away out of the landH776 of the Hebrews:H5680 and hereH6311 alsoH1571 have I doneH6213 nothingH3808 H3972 that they should putH7760 me into the dungeon.H953
16
When the chiefH8269 bakerH644 sawH7200 that the interpretationH6623 was good,H2896 he saidH559 to Joseph,H3130 I alsoH637 was in my dream,H2472 and, behold,H2009 I had threeH7969 whiteH2751 basketsH5536 onH5921 my head:H7218
17
And in the uppermostH5945 basketH5536 there was of allH3605 manner of bakemeatsH3978 for Pharaoh;H6547 and the birdsH5775 did eatH398 them out of the basketH5536 on my head.H7218
18
And JosephH3130 answeredH6030 and said,H559 ThisH2088 is the interpretationH6623 thereof: The threeH7969 basketsH5536 are threeH7969 days:H3117
19
YetH5750 within threeH7969 daysH3117 shall PharaohH6547 liftH5375 up your headH7218 from offH5921 you, and shall hangH8518 you onH5921 a tree;H6086 and the birdsH5775 shall eatH398 your fleshH1320 from offH5921 you.
20
And it cameH1961 to pass the thirdH7992 day,H3117 which was Pharaoh'sH6547 birthday,H3117 H3205 that he madeH6213 a feastH4960 to allH3605 his servants:H5650 and he liftedH5375 up the headH7218 of the chiefH8269 butlerH4945 and of the chiefH8269 bakerH644 amongH8432 his servants.H5650
21
And he restoredH7725 the chiefH8269 butlerH4945 to his butlershipH4945 again;H7725 and he gaveH5414 the cupH3563 intoH5921 Pharaoh'sH6547 hand:H3709
22
But he hangedH8518 the chiefH8269 baker:H644 as JosephH3130 had interpretedH6622 to them.
23
Yet did not the chiefH8269 butlerH4945 rememberH2142 Joseph,H3130 but forgotH7911 him.
